Intense red cherry colour with purple notes. Wild red fruits, currant and blackberries, typical of garnacha tintorera.
Light notes of Toast from its light step by French barrel. Sweet, ripe fruit which does not overdo. Good balance between acidity and tannins. Persistent and full in the mouth. Tones of vanilla, coffee and tobacco. Long and complex.
WHOSE BOOTS ARE THESE?
These boots are not typical boots for farmers but they would have been hard working boots and that is what they represent to us. They were issued during young men´s national service and since they were such sturdy boots, the men brought them home and continued to use them in the vineyards. These boots are the imagen of the boots that I saw many years ago in that coffee bar in the small wine village in northern Spain.
We found these in a market so we don´t have the name of the owner who would have used them but we are sure that they have seen many hours of work!

Almansa is one of Spain´s best kept secrets. Its indigenous grape varietal, Garnacha Tintorera, has the unique characteristic of coloured flesh in addition to its red coloured skin. As a result, the varietal produces wine of intense colour.
Located on the southern, flat plains, its semi-arid climate together with low fertile soils ensure the vines are low yielding. The area´s characteristics leads to the production of aromatic wines of deep colour with good tannic structure.
